Hooray Arsenal won!

ARSENAL WON! WOOHOO! I'm very happy Arsenal could win in-form Charlton Athletic because Arsenal could still maintain their pressure on league leaders Chelsea. Hehe. Even though Arsenal still won't catch up on points, they still catch up on goal-difference - better than nothing man. Manchester United also won, which also adds up to the pressure on league leaders Chelsea. Hohoho! The player who really impresses me is Cesc Fabregas, who plays in the Arsenal midfield alongside Patrick Vieira. He's the youngest player in the whole league and he's playing exceptionally well. 3 Cheers to Fabregas! Robin Van Persie is another young player with rich potential as he showed that he could be a replacement for his former Dutch senior, Dennis Bergkamp. Van Persie also scored the finishing goal! Hurrah! Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley expressed his frustration at the offside system - passive or active. I think he proves a point because when a player is offside but not interfering with play, the game still goes on and another player who is not offside can still win the ball. The player who is offside can run back in-line with the defence and then challenge for the ball. This causes confusion for the linesmen as well as the defence. In my opinion, i think the rules should be changed back to the old system where a player is offside as long as he is behind the last person of the defence, regardless of whether he's interfering with play. Anyway, it was a good game with fair play from both teams. At least Arsenal won! Woohoo!
